I am studying how the brain encodes social information to better understand the link between social connection and mental health. I am investigating the neurobiological mechanisms underlying mating and social affiliation in mice using miniscope technology to do in-vivo calcium imaging in the CA2 area of the hippocampus, a central brain region for social information processing.
